Objective :
The Earthquake Disaster Relief Program in East Nusa Tenggara aims to help meet the basic needs of communities affected by the earthquake during the emergency response period. The program was implemented through the distribution of food assistance, emergency shelter logistics, hygiene and personal care supplies, as well as basic healthcare support to help alleviate the burden on affected communities and support disaster response efforts.

Challenges :
The earthquake that struck East Nusa Tenggara had various impacts on communities and increased the need for humanitarian assistance, particularly among people in affected areas and evacuation sites. Key challenges addressed through the program included:

  • A high number of people displaced due to the impact of the earthquake.
  • Damage to homes and public facilities that disrupted community activities.
  • Limited access to food and drinking water for affected communities during the emergency period.
  • The need for emergency shelter supplies such as tarpaulins, sleeping mats, and blankets.
  • The need for hygiene and personal care supplies, including hygiene kits, sanitary pads, and baby diapers.
  • The need for basic healthcare support for communities affected by the disaster.
  • Ongoing aftershocks, requiring continued support for disaster response and the fulfillment of communities’ basic needs.

Solution :
As a form of concern and support for communities affected by the disaster, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi collaborated with Filantra through the Earthquake Disaster Relief Program in East Nusa Tenggara, providing various forms of assistance, including:

  • Distributing 25 ready-to-eat meal packages to support the food needs of affected communities.
  • Providing 100 basic food packages containing rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, bottled water, biscuits, bread, and UHT milk.
  • Providing hygiene kits containing bath soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads, and baby diapers.
  • Providing emergency logistics, including 6 tarpaulins, 30 folding mattresses/sleeping mats, and 30 blankets.
  • Providing one package of medicines as basic healthcare support.
  • Distributing assistance through the Koramil Reo Logistics Post in Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
  • Distributing the assistance on August 19, 2026, targeting communities affected by the earthquake in the Reo area.

Impact :
The implementation of the Earthquake Disaster Relief Program in East Nusa Tenggara provided support in meeting the basic needs of affected communities during the emergency response period, including:

  • Assistance was distributed to 1,312 beneficiaries in the Reo area.
  • Food needs were partially supported through the provision of ready-to-eat meals and basic food packages.
  • Emergency shelter supplies, including tarpaulins, folding mattresses/sleeping mats, and blankets, were made available.
  • Hygiene and personal care needs were supported through the provision of hygiene kits.
  • Basic healthcare support was provided through the distribution of medicines.
  • The assistance helped alleviate the burden on communities facing emergency conditions caused by the disaster.
  • The support provided contributed to collective efforts to facilitate disaster response and support the recovery process for affected communities.

Through the Earthquake Disaster Relief Program in East Nusa Tenggara, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, together with Filantra, provided tangible support through the distribution of food assistance, emergency shelter logistics, hygiene kits, and basic healthcare support. The program represents a collective effort to help affected communities navigate emergency conditions, alleviate their burden, and support disaster response and recovery efforts.
