Objective

The Pertamina School Uniform Assistance Program (SESAMA), held in conjunction with the Commissioners’ Visit, aims to help meet the basic educational needs of students in need in the Sorong, Bali, and Banyuwangi regions. The program is implemented by providing school uniform packages and school supplies—ranging from shoes, socks, and backpacks to writing materials—as an effort to improve comfort and foster a passion for learning.

Challenges

School uniforms are not merely clothing; they represent students’ identity and serve as a symbol of equality in the educational environment. However, many students in various regions still struggle to meet their school supply needs due to their families’ socioeconomic conditions. The main challenges addressed by this program are:

  • Families’ financial constraints that prevent them from providing elementary school uniforms and supplies.
  • The program’s beneficiaries are spread across three regions (Southwest Papua (Sorong), Bali, and East Java (Banyuwangi), with 12 participating schools and educational foundations.
  • Diverse needs at every educational level from preschool, elementary school, and middle school to high school as well as uniform needs for educators.
  • Distribution must be targeted, in the correct quantities, and on time according to the established recipient data.

Solution

PT Pertamina (Persero), in collaboration with Filantra, will distribute school uniform and supply packages in four phases from May through July 2026:

  • Sorong Phase 1 (May 8, 2026): Red and White uniforms (225 packages), Scout uniforms (225 packages), batik tops (93 packages), sports uniforms (186 packages), black shoes and socks (225 packages), 39 branded backpacks, and KORPRI and PDH teacher uniforms (34 packages). Distributed to SD Inpres YPKP Klayas, SD Inpres Malabam, and SD Waifoi.
  • Sorong Phase 2 (May 18, 2026): red-and-white and Scout uniforms (106 packages each), batik tops (106 packages), sports uniforms (106 packages), black shoes and socks (106 packages), as well as batik,

Scout, and sports uniforms for teachers. Distributed to SD Inpres 21 Pulau Kasim and SD Inpres 6 Waifo.

  • Bali (May 23, 2026): 270 packages, each containing a complete Red and White elementary school uniform with a cap and tie, a complete Scout uniform with a cap and neckerchief, a backpack, black shoes and socks, a stationery set, a goodie bag, and a thank-you card. Shipped via cargo plane and distributed to SDN 10 Paguyangan, SDN 04 Bali, and SDN 05 Antiga.
  • Banyuwangi (July 3-6, 2026): 200 complete uniform packages for kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school students, plus shoes, socks, and stationery, distributed equally among four educational foundations. A symbolic handover took place on July 3, 2026, at PT Pertamina TBBM Tanjung Wangi with 60 student representatives in attendance, followed by direct distribution by Pertamina Peduli volunteers on July 6, 2026, and documented in a Handover Report.
