Objective:
The OCBC Society 2026 Phase 1 Program aims to improve the quality of life of communities by addressing basic needs and enhancing the quality of their living environment. The program is implemented through improving access to clean water and sanitation, upgrading health and educational facilities, as well as providing health and financial literacy education to support healthier, more comfortable, and more prosperous communities.
Challenges:
Communities in Nyalindung Village and Cisitu Village, Nyalindung District, Sukabumi Regency, continue to face needs related to improved access to clean water and sanitation, as well as better public facilities that support health, education, and children’s activities. Based on field surveys and assessments, several key challenges addressed through the program include:
- Limited access to clean water, particularly during the dry season.
- The need to increase water storage capacity and improve clean water distribution for communities and public facilities.
- The need for more adequate, clean, and comfortable sanitation facilities.
- The condition of Posyandu facilities requiring improvement to enhance the comfort and quality of community health services.
- The need to create a more attractive, comfortable, and educational environment for early childhood education (PAUD).
- The condition of playground areas requiring improvements to make them more suitable, safe, and comfortable for children.
- The need to improve children’s understanding of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS).
- The need to strengthen community knowledge of household financial management.
Solutions:
As part of its commitment to improving community quality of life, PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk collaborated with Filantra through the OCBC Society 2026 Phase 1 Program by providing various forms of support, including:
- Constructing a drilled well in Kampung Puncak, Cisitu Village to improve community access to clean water.
- Constructing two water storage tanks with a capacity of approximately 16,000–18,000 liters.
- Developing approximately 500 meters of water pipeline network connecting the water source, storage tanks, MCK facilities, mosque, prayer room, and Posyandu.
- Constructing one MCK facility in Kampung Puncak, Nyalindung Village.
- Repainting and creating educational murals with a healthy food theme at the PAUD facility.
- Renovating and repainting educational murals at the Posyandu with a Handwashing with Soap (CTPS) theme, including renovation of the water supply network and bathroom improvements.
- Renovating the playground area through repainting, creating educational murals featuring letters, numbers, and trees, as well as upgrading children’s play equipment.
- Conducting Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) education for children through interactive games, educational discussions, and practical handwashing with soap sessions.
- Conducting financial literacy education on the theme “Needs vs. Wants” for community members, particularly housewives responsible for managing household finances.
- Engaging 94 OCBC volunteers in volunteering activities together with the implementation team, village government, and community members.
- Implementing the program from April to June 2026 in Nyalindung Village and Cisitu Village, Nyalindung District, Sukabumi Regency.
Impact:
The implementation of the OCBC Society 2026 Phase 1 Program contributed to improving community quality of life through strengthened access to basic infrastructure, public facilities, health education, and financial literacy, including:
- Benefiting 1,575 community members.
- Improving community access to clean water and sanitation.
- Increasing clean water storage and distribution capacity through the construction of a drilled well, water storage tanks, and a water pipeline network.
- Improving access to sanitation facilities through the construction of an MCK facility.
- Promoting the adoption of clean and healthy living behaviors.
- Creating more comfortable and educational learning and play environments through improvements to the PAUD facility and playground.
- Increasing children’s awareness of health and hygiene from an early age through PHBS education and educational murals.
- Improving the comfort and functionality of community health service facilities through Posyandu renovation.
- Strengthening community capacity in household financial management through financial literacy education.
- Strengthening collaboration and participation among OCBC, Filantra, village government, volunteers, and community members.

Through the construction of MCK facilities, renovation of the Posyandu, and education on PHBS and Handwashing with Soap (CTPS), the program supports improved access to sanitation, hygiene, and health awareness among community members.

Through the renovation of PAUD facilities, educational murals, and playground improvements, the program creates a more comfortable learning and play environment while supporting children’s learning through visual educational media.

Through collaboration among OCBC, Filantra, the village government, volunteers, and community members, the program strengthens multi-stakeholder partnerships in community development and empowerment.
Improving community quality of life requires support not only for basic needs but also for the quality of the living environment. Through the OCBC Society 2026 Phase 1 Program, PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk and Filantra provided support through improved access to clean water and sanitation, the construction and improvement of public facilities, health education, and financial literacy. Implemented in Nyalindung Village and Cisitu Village, the program represents a collective effort to create a healthier, more comfortable, educational, and sustainable community environment while strengthening collaboration and community participation.
