Objective :
The Community Health Check (CAKRA) Program aims to improve community health by providing accessible healthcare services, including general medical examinations, metabolic health screenings, eye examinations, medical consultations, and health education. The program is designed to strengthen early disease detection, raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining good health, and support post-disaster recovery efforts for communities in the SOR I Aceh Tamiang area.
Challenges :
Based on the program implementation, several public health challenges were identified, including:
- Limited public awareness of the importance of routine health check-ups, resulting in delayed diagnosis of various health conditions.
- A high prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension, hyperuricemia, and diabetes, influenced by dietary habits, stress, and unhealthy lifestyles following the disaster.
- An increase in infectious diseases, including cough, acute respiratory infections (ARI), the common cold, and fever, due to humid environmental conditions and inadequate sanitation during the post-disaster recovery period.
- Health risks associated with limited access to clean water and safe food, as indicated by cases of acute gastroenteritis (AGE).
- Reduced community immunity during the post-disaster recovery period, increasing the need for continuous healthcare services.
- Limited access to preventive healthcare services, metabolic screenings, and early disease detection.
- A growing need for eye examinations, particularly among older adults experiencing age-related vision impairment.
Solution :
To address these challenges, the CAKRA Program delivered integrated healthcare services through the following initiatives:
- Providing curative healthcare services delivered by qualified medical professionals.
- Conducting metabolic health screenings, including blood glucose, uric acid, and cholesterol tests, to support the early detection of non-communicable diseases.
- Organizing eye examinations by ophthalmologists and providing recommendations for prescription eyeglasses for participants requiring vision correction.
- Delivering health education sessions on disease prevention and the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.
- Conducting awareness campaigns on the use of the Household Gas Network (JARGAS) as part of community education.
- Strengthening collaboration among PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk, local government, healthcare professionals, and Filantra to provide accessible healthcare services for the community.

Impact :
The implementation of the CAKRA Program contributed significantly to improving community access to healthcare services through the following achievements:
- A total of 186 beneficiaries received curative healthcare services.
- A total of 513 metabolic health screening services were conducted, including blood glucose, uric acid, and cholesterol tests.
- One hundred community members participated in health education sessions to enhance their knowledge of disease prevention and healthy living.
- Thirty-nine beneficiaries received comprehensive eye examinations, with 20 participants recommended to receive prescription eyeglasses based on the examination results.
- Community members gained valuable information about their health conditions, enabling them to take preventive measures and seek appropriate medical treatment at an earlier stage.
- Strong collaboration was established among PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk, local government, healthcare professionals, and the community to improve public health within the company’s operational area.
