Objective:
The Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program aims to support the continuity of religious activities while strengthening social cohesion among communities in disaster-affected areas. The program was implemented through minor renovations of Musholla Nurul Iman and the provision of religious facilities and infrastructure to create a more proper, comfortable, and safe place of worship for the community. In addition, the program is expected to support religious activities, Ramadan educational activities, and strengthen communication access for the community and surau management through communication service support.
Challenges:
Following the flash floods that hit Aceh Tamiang at the end of 2025, the community remained in the process of recovery. The disaster also affected public facilities and infrastructure, including Musholla Nurul Iman, which sustained damage to several parts of its building and supporting facilities. Key challenges addressed through the program included:
- Damage to several parts of the Musholla Nurul Iman building and its supporting facilities caused by the flash floods.
- The need to repair the musholla so that it could return to functioning optimally as a place of worship for the community.
- Limited availability of religious facilities to support the comfort of worshippers.
- The need for facilities to support religious activities and the learning of religious values, particularly among children.
- The need to strengthen communication and connectivity facilities for the community within the surau environment.
- The post-disaster situation highlighted the need for a proper shared space to help restore social interaction, togetherness, and community activities.
Solution:
As a form of commitment to the community and support for post-disaster recovery, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison collaborated with Filantra through the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program by providing various forms of support, including:
- Conducting minor renovations to Musholla Nurul Iman to repair building components and facilities affected by the floods.
- Cleaning the interior and exterior areas of the musholla from residual mud, flood debris, and dirt prior to the renovation process.
- Providing three mosque carpets to improve worshippers’ comfort.
- Providing 10 adult sarongs, 10 adult prayer garments, 5 children’s prayer garments, and 5 children’s sarongs.
- Providing 10 copies of the Qur’an and 10 Iqra learning packages to support religious education and literacy.
- Providing one wireless microphone set, one microphone stand set, one pulpit, and one mixer to support religious activities at the surau.
- Providing one HiFi Air Device package with a data plan for six months to support communication access and connectivity.
- Conducting the handover of the religious facilities and infrastructure, as well as the completed musholla renovation, on May 6, 2026.
Impact:
The implementation of the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program contributed to the recovery and improvement of worship facilities at Musholla Nurul Iman, Dusun Batu Delapan, Kp. Rantau Pauh, Aceh Tamiang Regency, through the following outcomes:
- A more proper, comfortable, and safe musholla is now available to support community worship activities.
- Several parts of the musholla building and facilities that were previously affected by the flash floods have been restored.
- Religious facilities, including carpets, prayer garments, sarongs, Qur’ans, and Iqra materials, are now available to meet the needs of worshippers.
- Supporting facilities for religious activities, including a wireless microphone, microphone stand, pulpit, and mixer, have been provided.
- Improved connectivity is available through the HiFi Air Device with a six-month data package.
- Facilities are now available to support religious activities, learning, communication, and community interaction.
- The program provided indirect benefits to approximately 180 residents of Kampung Rantau Pauh, Aceh Tamiang Regency.
- The role of the surau as both a place of worship and a community gathering space has been strengthened, helping foster togetherness and support social activities during the post-disaster recovery period.

Through the minor renovation of the surau and the provision of various religious facilities, the program supports the development of a more proper, comfortable, safe, and sustainable public facility for community use. This support forms part of the efforts to restore community facilities following the disaster while strengthening the surau’s role as both a place of worship and a shared community space.
Through the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, in collaboration with Filantra, provided tangible support to the community of Dusun Batu Delapan, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The program not only focused on restoring Musholla Nurul Iman, which was affected by the disaster, but also provided religious facilities, communication support, and resources for religious and educational activities. Through these efforts, the program contributes to the collective recovery of the community, restores the surau’s function as a place of worship and social interaction, strengthens post-disaster resilience, and creates sustainable social benefits for the community.
