Partner: PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero)
Industry: Energy & Natural Gas
Objective:
To improve access for communities in the operational areas of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk to quality healthcare services, including health education, curative healthcare services, metabolic screenings, and Supplementary Feeding (PMT) for children and toddlers, as part of efforts to support the prevention and management of health issues, particularly noncommunicable diseases, as well as to promote public awareness of maintaining health in a sustainable manner.
Challenges:
- Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, metabolic disorders (gout, high cholesterol), and musculoskeletal complaints remain common health issues in densely populated urban areas such as the Pondok Betung neighborhood. The Camar Residen area has a significant proportion of elderly residents, which is a group that is more vulnerable to NCDs and requires regular health monitoring, yet access to free and routine health checkups remains limited.
- There is a need for nutritional support for children and toddlers, making the Supplementary Nutrition Program (PMT) relevant as part of efforts to prevent nutritional problems from an early age.
Solution:
To address these challenges, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk, in collaboration with Filantra, conducted the South Tangerang Free Health Checkup Program on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Jalan Camar XI Blok AG, Pondok Betung Village, Pondok Aren Subdistrict, South Tangerang City, as part of the “Camar Pinguin: The Spirit of the 5G Generation” to commemorate the 81st anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence. The activities included
- Health Counseling / Education
Education on hypertension was delivered directly by Dr. Iqbal Afdi Ferdiansyah, covering the recognition of symptoms, recommendations for routine blood pressure checks, and preventive measures through exercise, quitting smoking, and reducing salt/MSG intake.
- Health Services (Curative)
Starting from registration, blood pressure checks, consultations with doctors, to the dispensing of prescriptions at the pharmacy by a pharmacist.
- Metabolic Screening Services
Blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol tests for beneficiaries based on their needs and doctors’ recommendations.
- Supplemental Food Program (PMT)
PMT is provided to children and toddlers in the Camar Residen community as a nutritional supplement, not a substitute for main meals. This initiative also aims to raise parents’ awareness of the importance of providing a balanced, nutritious diet for toddlers’ growth and development, as well as preventing nutritional deficiencies.
- Supporting Activities
A health walk and a bicycle decoration contest for children, group fitness exercises with mothers, a booth by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk, and food stalls, all part of efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle while strengthening community bonds.

- Metabolic screening services reached 77 beneficiaries with a total of 219 tests: 76 random blood sugar tests, 77 uric acid tests, and 66 cholesterol tests, exceeding the initial target of 50 beneficiaries.
- A total of 50 children and toddlers received supplementary food (PMT), and 40 people participated in health counseling or education sessions.
- Early detection of noncommunicable diseases was carried out; of the 106 people screened, 21 cases of hypertension, 21 cases of gout, 20 cases of hypercholesterolemia, and 14 cases of myalgia were identified, and these individuals were subsequently referred for further examination or to the nearest community health center.
- A total of 84.5% of the funds were allocated directly to support health services, while the remainder was used to support program operations and management. All funds were fully disbursed with no remaining balance.
