Objective: As a form of concern for the community and an effort to support the strengthening of surau functions, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison collaborated with Filantra in the implementation of the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 – Surau Kita Berdaya Program. Through this program, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison presents various activities aimed at strengthening the values of togetherness, improving the quality of worship facilities, and providing social support for the community around Al-Musyawarah Mosque.

Challenges :

In the implementation of this program, there are several challenges that became the main focus to ensure activities run optimally and provide a sustainable impact for the community, including:

  • Limited decent worship facilities to support Ramadhan activities optimally.
  • The need for inclusive religious activities for all community groups, from children to the elderly.
  • The socio-economic conditions of the affected communities, requiring support in fulfilling basic needs during Ramadhan.
  • The suboptimal function of the surau as both a center of worship and a space for community social activities.
  • The need to restrengthen the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation (gotong royong) within the community environment.

Solutions :

As an effort to address various community needs during the month of Ramadhan, the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program presents several integrated solutions, namely:

  • Conducting minor renovations of the surau/mushola to improve the comfort and feasibility of community worship facilities.
  • Organizing a series of inclusive religious activities for various community groups, from children and adults to the elderly.
  • Facilitating congregational worship activities such as breaking the fast together (ifthar), congregational prayers, and religious recitations during the three-day program implementation.
  • Providing religious education activities for children through Ramadhan creative classes, such as reading Iqro, short surahs, and coloring activities.
  • Providing social support through the distribution of Ramadhan packages to marbots as a form of appreciation.
  • Providing a space for interaction and community togetherness through activities that involve residents directly.

Program Impact :

The implementation of the Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program has provided several positive impacts for the community, including:

  • Increased community comfort in carrying out worship activities following the improvement of surau/mushola facilities.
  • Facilitated religious activities involving various age groups, making community participation more inclusive.
  • Increased togetherness and social interaction among residents through communal ifthar and congregational worship.
  • Enhanced religious understanding for children through the Ramadhan educational activities provided.
  • Increased appreciation for the role of marbots through the provision of Ramadhan packages.
  • Strengthening the function of the surau as a center of worship as well as a space for community social activities during the month of Ramadhan.

SDGs Relevance :

This program is linked to several goals in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as follows:

  • SDGs 2 – Zero Hunger This program supports the fulfillment of community food needs through communal ifthar activities. This activity is not only a moment of togetherness but also strengthens the values of social concern and the spirit of sharing.
  • SDGs 4 – Quality Education This program contributes to increasing religious literacy through the provision of Al-Qur’an and Iqra, as well as the implementation of religious recitation activities for children and the community.
  • SDGs 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure This program supports improved connectivity access through the provision of devices and internet services that assist community communication and information activities.
  • SDGs 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities This program contributes to improving the quality of public facilities through minor renovations of the surau and the provision of more decent, comfortable, and sustainable worship facilities.

Strengthening the Role of the Surau as a Center for Worship and Togetherness

The surau is not only a place of worship but also a space for community togetherness. The Indosat Berkah Ramadhan 2026 “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program is here to strengthen this function through religious activities, facility improvements, and social support during the month of Ramadhan.

This program is a collaboration between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Filantra in delivering a real impact for the community. Filantra also opens opportunities for collaboration with various parties to jointly deliver sustainable social programs.
