Landslide Assistance Program in Purwakarta by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB

Partner: PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB

Industry: Energy & Oil

Objective: The main objective of the landslide assistance program in Purwakarta Regency by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB and Filantra is to demonstrate social concern and provide direct assistance to communities affected by the landslide disaster.

Challenges:

  • Access and Distribution: Difficult-to-reach access points complicated the process of delivering and distributing logistics (basic food supplies) to evacuated residents or those with isolated homes.
  • Psychosocial Impact: The disaster caused homes to be damaged and residents to be displaced, leading to trauma and anxiety.
  • Evacuation Sites and Fair Distribution: Identifying safe and adequate evacuation sites was a challenge. The assistance program had to ensure that basic food supplies and other essential needs were distributed evenly and in a timely manner at the evacuation locations.

Solutions:

  • Rapid Emergency Disaster Response: This program served as a rapid emergency disaster response in Pasirmunjul Village, Purwakarta Regency. Aid was handed over directly at the Central Command Post in the Pasirmunjul Village Office, demonstrating immediate action to help the victims.
  • Provision of Basic Food Needs (Basic Food Supplies): The most tangible solution was the program of providing basic food supplies to the community affected by the landslide. This assistance specifically aims to fulfill the food needs of the community and help prevent hunger. The details of the distributed aid included staples such as:
    • 300 Kg of Rice
    • 75 Cartons of Instant Noodles
    • 150 Pcs of 1-Liter Cooking Oil
    • 150 Pcs of 1-Kg Granulated Sugar
  • Energy Support (Bright Gas Cylinders): In addition to basic food supplies, the assistance also included 5 Pcs of 12-Kg Bright Gas Cylinders. This is a crucial solution to ensure that displaced or affected communities maintain access to energy for cooking and other basic household needs.

Impact:

  • The provision of basic food supplies and Bright Gas cylinders directly met the urgent food and energy needs of the affected and evacuated communities.
  • The aid in essential goods (basic food supplies) directly alleviated the financial burden on communities affected by the landslide, allowing family funds to be reallocated to other urgent needs.
  • This program is relevant to SDGs Goal 2 (Zero Hunger). Its impact on the community is ensuring food security and preventing hunger for disaster victims through the provision of basic food aid.

SDGs Relevance:

  • SDGs 2: Zero Hunger
This program is relevant to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 2, Zero Hunger. Its purpose is to fulfill the food needs of disaster-affected communities in Purwakarta and help prevent hunger through the distribution of basic food assistance.
