OBJECTIVE:
To support efforts to improve company performance and enhance customer satisfaction as well as positive contributions to the surrounding community regarding the presence of PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java. With this community satisfaction survey, it is hoped that there will be input and suggestions from the community regarding the company’s CSR programs, so that PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java can make improvements and enhancements to these programs to be more effective in delivering positive impacts for the community.
CHALLENGE:
In this modern era, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become one of the main focuses for companies to contribute positively to society. PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java, as a state-owned enterprise in the electricity service sector in Indonesia, has paid attention to the importance of corporate social responsibility in its operations. In an effort to improve service quality and customer satisfaction, PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java regularly measures the community satisfaction index regarding the company’s performance.
SOLUTION:
From the results of the questionnaires conducted, respondents generally felt very satisfied with the social responsibility empowerment program with a score of 87.51. The highest sources of satisfaction were the dimensions of Commitment and Governance of the Eduwisata Pasawahan empowerment program with a score of 89.28, followed by respondents’ assessments of Suitability with Local Potential with a score of 89.20, then Environmental Perception (88.81) and Quality of Assistance both received a score of 88.09, followed by Participation (87.61). With a score of 87.38, respondents felt that PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java with the Empowerment Program
Eduwisata Pasawahan provided benefits in terms of education implemented in the empowerment programs for local communities. In the health dimension assessment, respondents also gave a score of 86.66. Meanwhile, 87.14% of respondents stated they were very familiar with the knowledge of the programs implemented in the empowerment program carried out by PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java with the Eduwisata Pasawahan Empowerment Program conducted in Pasawahan Village, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency, West Java.
IMPACT:
In general, residents around Pasawahan Village, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency feel very satisfied with the performance of the CSR program implemented by PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java with the Eduwisata Pasawahan Empowerment Program. The measurements conducted on the ten dimensions of satisfaction showed the following.
The level of community satisfaction with the performance of PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java with the Eduwisata Pasawahan Empowerment Program in the area of Commitment and Governance is 89.28, the highest score among all dimensions, followed by Suitability with Local Potential (89.20), Environmental Perception (88.81), Quality of Assistance (88.09), Participation (87.61), Enthusiasm/Education (87.38), Program Knowledge (87.14), Health (86.6), Sustainability (86.03), and lastly, Economy (85.71). All dimension assessments above are within the Very Satisfied range (81-100) with a final result of 87.51.
Commitment, competence, and synergy of PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java’s CSR program with the Eduwisata Pasawahan Empowerment Program are the main strengths of PT PLN (Persero) UID West Java’s CSR performance. This is evidenced by the significant support for the existence of the program and the willingness of residents to participate, even contributing to the social, economic, and environmental programs carried out.
This support also indicates a positive reputation and trust from the community towards the CSR program and the company’s performance in general.
