SOLUTION :
BOGOR. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, runs a social responsibility program (TJSL) by providing support to the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School. Pelindo’s TJSL program is in the form of providing assistance in the form of facilities and infrastructure for Islamic boarding schools. Through this launched program, Pelindo wants to contribute to increasing the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools.
On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Pelindo launched the Ruhama Eduwisata Boarding School Program in Tajur Halang, Bogor, West Java. The aim of this program is to create an educational tourism destination managed by the Islamic boarding school.
With this program, Pelindo hopes that the Ruhama Islamic boarding school can become more independent and productive, especially in the economic aspect. The launch event was attended by several important figures such as the Senior Manager of Law and Public Relations of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2, Astrid Unggul Pawestri, and the Manager of HR, General and KBL Services of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Lukman Salamudin.
Also present were the head of the Ruhama Islamic boarding school, Ustad Salman Abdul Hamid, and the General Manager of Filantra Operations, Azlia Sovni. Astrid Unggul Pawestri in her speech representing the Executive Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2, Drajat Sulistyo, expressed her gratitude to the Ruhama Islamic boarding school and Filantra for their cooperation in this program.
“We hope that the students who graduate from the Ruhama Islamic boarding school can spread the entrepreneurial spirit to the surrounding community, so that they can support the economy,” said Astrid in a statement received on Sunday (6/10/2024).
Astrid also appreciated the efforts of the teachers at the Islamic boarding school who have developed programs in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry. She hopes that Pelindo can continue to play a role in advancing the Ruhama Islamic boarding school in the future.
In line with Astrid, Lukman Salamudin said that PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok will ask Filantra to accompany and monitor the development of the program periodically. Filantra is a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and community empowerment consultant with experience in managing CSR activities for 9 years (established since 2015) and is committed to continuing to strive to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through collaboration in CSR programs, TJSL, community development and philanthropy together with various companies, both state-owned and private, of which PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok is one of its loyal partners.
He hopes that this Eduwisata program can bring great benefits to the Islamic boarding school, the students, and the next generation. “Ruhama Islamic Boarding School can develop into an educational agro-tourism site, and hopefully what we have planned will go well,” he said. Ustad Salman Abdul Hamid, the head of Ruhama Islamic Boarding School, also expressed his gratitude for the support of Pelindo and Filantra. Thanks to this assistance, Ruhama Islamic Boarding School can develop through the Eduwisata program. In this program, all students are actively involved in agricultural and livestock businesses, which are expected to be able to help the operations of the Islamic Boarding School.
In addition to studying religious knowledge, the students are also invited to learn entrepreneurship. They have started managing agricultural land planted with durian, avocado, grapes, and vegetables, as well as developing goat farming.
“Alhamdulillah, there have been three tourist visits to Ruhama Eduwisata Boarding School in the last three months,” said Salman Abdul Hamid.
Ustad Salman also hopes that this program can run well and provide great benefits for the younger generation. “Please monitor us so that what we do can run optimally, right on target, trustworthy and honest,” he said.
The event was closed with a symbolic handover of aid and a joint visit to the agricultural and livestock locations managed by the Islamic boarding school. PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Tanjung Priok demonstrated its commitment to supporting the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools through this Eduwisata program. With the synergy between Islamic boarding schools, companies, and the community, it is hoped that this program can have a positive impact on a generation of students who are more independent and competitive.
