Industry: Telecommunications and Information Technology

Objective: The implementation of the 2026 Indosat Berkah Ramadhan “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison in collaboration with Filantra aims to strengthen the role of the surau (prayer house) as a center for worship and a space for togetherness for the community around Mushola Al-Ikhlas. This program also aims to improve the quality of worship facilities and provide social support for the community, especially during the momentum of Ramadan, which is synonymous with the spirit of sharing and togetherness. Through various activities, this program is expected to encourage the creation of a more comfortable worship environment while strengthening the values of togetherness and social care within the community.

Challenges:

In the implementation of the 2026 Indosat Berkah Ramadhan “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program at Mushola Al Ikhlas, Ngembak Village, Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency, several challenges were identified in the effort to deliver beneficial activities for the community. These challenges include:

  • Limited facilities and infrastructure at the surau, requiring the strengthening of facilities so that worship and religious activities can run more comfortably for the community.
  • The need for inclusive religious activities for various age groups, from children and adults to the elderly, so that all levels of society can participate in Ramadan activities.
  • The need to re-strengthen the function of the surau as a center for community social activity, not only as a place of worship but also as a space for togetherness and social interaction.
  • The importance of relevant social activity support during the month of Ramadan, specifically to strengthen togetherness and revive the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) within the community.

Solution:

In addressing various community needs and strengthening the function of the surau as a center for worship and social activities during Ramadan, the 2026 Indosat Berkah Ramadhan “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program delivered several solutions through the following series of activities:

  • Performing light renovations on Mushola Al Ikhlas, which included repairing toilet walls, terrace walls, and repainting the mosque area to improve the comfort and cleanliness of the worship facilities.
  • Organizing a series of religious activities for three consecutive days, such as Quran recitations (tadarus), public mass prayers, Ramadan sermons (tausiyah), and congregational prayers involving the community.
  • Providing religious educational activities for children, such as reading Iqro, memorizing short surahs and prayers, as well as creative coloring activities to strengthen religious understanding and children’s creativity during Ramadan.
  • Providing support for worship infrastructure and facilities, such as mosque carpets, prayer robes (mukena), sarongs, Al-Qurans, wireless microphones, recitation desks, and partition curtains to support worship and learning activities at the surau.
  • Providing communication service support through HiFi Air devices to support communication connectivity within the surau environment and the surrounding community.

Program Impact:

The implementation of the 2026 Indosat Berkah Ramadhan “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program provided several positive impacts for the community around Mushola Al Ikhlas, including:

  • Increased community comfort in performing worship activities, following the light renovations and improvements to the prayer house facilities.
  • Strengthening the role of the surau as a center for worship and a space for community togetherness through various religious activities involving children, adults, and the elderly.
  • Creating a religious learning space for children, supporting the reinforcement of Islamic values from an early age during the month of Ramadan.
  • Establishing closer togetherness and social interaction among residents through communal iftar (breaking the fast), mass prayers, and congregational worship activities.
  • Availability of more adequate facilities and infrastructure to support worship and religious learning activities at Mushola Al Ikhlas.

SDGs Relevance:

The 2026 Indosat Berkah Ramadhan “Surau Kita Berdaya” Program is linked to several goals in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically those related to fulfilling basic community needs, education, infrastructure strengthening, and improving the quality of public facilities.
