PURPOSE : To share and help the community in meeting their daily food needs, especially for Ponorogo residents. This program is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 2nd goal of Zero Hunger.
CHALLENGES: Economic recovery due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has devastated the community’s economy is still being carried out by all elements of the nation. Both the government and the private sector continue to work hand in hand in an effort to ease the burden on the people affected by the pandemic. Although in some areas masks have been loosened and so on, on the other hand, the community’s economy must continue to strive for recovery. The disbursement of social assistance to the community in this effort must also receive layered supervision and oversight. So that the principles of justice and economic equality are well maintained. Another issue, namely the scarcity of cooking oil a few months ago, had shocked the community. Rice and sugar as well as other staples have also crept up. This must certainly be a special concern for the government in increasing economic growth and reducing poverty.
SOLUTION: The K7 Ponorogo basic food assistance was carried out on Sunday, April 16, 2023. The beneficiaries of 1,000 basic food packages are the people of Ponorogo in the underprivileged category especially those affected by Covid-19, the poor and old widows who live in Ponorogo Regency.
Impact: The K7 Ponorogo Assistance Program for the Ponorogo Regency area is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 2nd SDG goal of Zero Hunger. The K7 Ponorogo Basic Food Assistance Program for the Ponorogo Regency is expected to bring happiness to the people of Ponorogo Regency. This assistance is also expected to help meet the food needs of the Ponorogo community after the Covid-19 pandemic, so that no residents experience food shortages and hunger. This program is also a concrete manifestation in supporting SDGs goal 2, namely Eradicating hunger.
