HEALTH SERVICES (CURATIVE) IN THE LAMONGAN REGION PT PERUSAHAAN GAS NEGARA TBK

PURPOSE :

Providing health services (curative) in the form of metabolic checks, examinations by general practitioners, and providing free PMT to improve the quality of health of the people of Lamongan, West Java.

CHALLENGE :

Health care facilities are very important in every region. They must be strategically located so that they are easily accessible to the surrounding community. However, in some areas health care facilities are still difficult to access. Whether it’s because the road is far away and takes a very long time to access health facilities or because the road terrain is damaged or difficult to pass vehicles so that people have to walk to access health facilities. Not a few also end up doing their own treatment at home either with traditional medicine.

SOLUTION:

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk together with Filantra has organized a Curative Health Service activity at Made Village Hall, Jalan Raya Made, Made Village, Lamongan District, Lamongan Regency, East Java. Made Village is located in the lowlands with an altitude of 4 meters above sea level. Rainfall reaches 2,000 mm/year and the average temperature reaches 34 degrees Celsius. The Made region is flanked by two rivers, Made River and Tanjung River. Made Village is inhabited by 2,001 families with a total population of 8,028 people consists of 1,210 men and 1,216 women.
In the health service activities of PT Perusahan Gas Negara Tbk, the health services carried out are
as follows:

  1. Elderly healthy gymnastics;
  2. General practitioner examination;
  3. Metabolic examination; and
  4. Provision of supplementary food (PMT); and
  5. Administration of medication as prescribed by the doctor.

IMPACT:
The Curative Health Service Program in the Lamongan Region, East Java is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 3rd SDG goal of Good Health and Well Being. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk together with Filantra conducted social activities in the form of free health services for the community in Lamongan, East Java.
The health service activities were carried out on August 23, 2023 by providing services to as many as 100 beneficiaries from the adult and elderly age categories. The activities carried out were elderly gymnastics, good health checks, provision of
drugs according to doctor’s prescription, and metabolic checks including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and uric acid checks.

Another activity was the provision of 50 PMT packages for children and toddlers. PMT in the form of snacks containing milk
UHT 250 ml and biscuits / bread. Thus this activity is a concrete form of a program that helps support the 3rd SDGs goal, namely good health and welfare, so that the Indonesian people can maintain their health conditions for a better survival.
