HEALTH SERVICES (CURATIVE) IN BEKASI SELATAN PT PERUSAHAAN GAS NEGARA TBK

PURPOSE:

to improve the quality of public health for the better, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk together with Filantra organized a health service (curative) activity in South Bekasi. This activity aims to provide health services (curative) in the form of metabolic checks, examinations by general practitioners, and the provision of free PMT to improve the quality of health of the Bekasi South community.

CHALLENGE:

Health service facilities are very important in every region. They must be strategically located so that they are easily accessible to the surrounding community. However, in some areas health care facilities are still difficult to access. Either because the road is far away and it takes a very long time to access health facilities or because the road terrain is damaged or difficult to pass vehicles so that people have to walk to access health facilities. Not a few also end up doing their own treatment at home either with traditional medicine.

SOLUTION:

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk together with Filantra has organized

(Curative) Health Service activities at the South Bekasi Subdistrict Office, precisely at RT 11 RW 13 Pekayon Jaya Village,

South Bekasi District, Bekasi City, West Java.

In the health service activities of PT Perusahan Gas Negara Tbk, the health services carried out are

as follows:

1. Joint gymnastics activities;

2. General practitioner examination;

3. Metabolic examination; and

4. Provision of supplementary food (PMT); and

5. Administration of medication as prescribed by the doctor.

IMPACT:

The Health Services (Curative) Program in South Bekasi is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the 3rd SDG goal, namely Good Health and Well Being. The health service activities (curative) were carried out on August 26, 2023 at the South Bekasi District Office. Services were provided to 200 beneficiaries, the majority of whom came from the adult and elderly age categories. The activities carried out were gymnastics, health checks, administration of drugs according to doctor’s prescriptions, and metabolic checks including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and uric acid checks.

Another activity was the provision of 100 PMT packages for children and toddlers. PMT in the form of snacks containing 250 ml UHT milk and biscuits / bread. Thus, this activity is a concrete manifestation of a program that supports the 3rd SDGs goal, namely good health and welfare, so that the Indonesian people can maintain their health conditions for a better survival.
